Gaskets

Gaskets create a seal between the control panel device and the mounting surface, preventing dust, dirt, and moisture from entering the switch. Gaskets also help protect the switch from environmental factors such as humidity, temperature fluctuations, and chemical exposure, ensuring its longevity and reliability. We offer gaskets in various shapes, sizes, and materials to meet the specific requirements of your application.

Gaskets for membrane switches

We understand the importance of device protection. Our gaskets can be rated to IP67 standards. To achieve an IP67 rating, which indicates complete protection against dust and immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes, a minimum of .125” of 3M 200MP adhesive is required around the circuit.

Filters

Although filters also offer protection against dust and moisture, they can be used for airflow and light management. Filters control the amount and type of light that passes through the switch, which is important in applications where visibility is critical. They can also be used as an insert to collect dust and debris and prevent interference within your device.

Filters are also highly effective at protecting your device from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), which can cause malfunction or degradation of performance in sensitive electronics.

Each filter is designed and cut specific to your application, ensuring a perfect fit for maximum protection.

Laser Cutting Filter

We specialize in several cutting methods to ensure a precise fit for your gaskets, filters, and barriers, including:

  • Laser cutting
  • Shear cutting
  • Die cutting

Barriers

Barriers protect the membrane switch from physical damage, such as impact or abrasion. Depending on your application, barriers can also be used to protect your components during transport. Like filters, barriers also provide EMI and RFI protection. Barriers are made from durable materials resistant to wear and tear, ensuring that your switch remains protected in even the harshest environments.
