Made in the USA for the USA.

Ralph Lauren revealed the opening ceremony uniforms that will be worn by members of the 2018 U.S. Winter Olympic Team.  American athletes will be entering the stadium in PyeongChang, South Korea, wearing heavy-duty, down-filled red, white and blue parkas.
These jackets were made 100% by U.S. companies. With Butler Technologies being one of them. Ralph Lauren is a long-time outfitter of the U.S. Olympic Team.  This year they decided to involve innovative technology into the outfit.  Ralph Lauren, Butler Technologies, and DuPont teamed up to deliver the printed heaters to create a one-of-a-kind outfit to our team. When asked about the state of American manufacturing Mike Wagner, Head of Engineering at Butler Technologies responded, “The fact that these companies are “local” and accessible makes partnering more efficient and accelerates getting the product to market. Knowing the materials, technology, and labor were all sourced in the U.S. provides a great sense of collective pride among all those involved. This ensures that the state of American Manufacturing is strong.”

The highlight of the uniform is the high-tech heating feature that’s hidden inside the jackets.  They contain a printed heater that provides up to 11 hours of continuous warmth. In PyeongChang where the temperatures average around 15° F, the Olympic hopefuls will be nice and warm. With 3 heat settings on the battery pack, the athletes can keep the temperature set to their liking.  Ralph Lauren added a patriotic touch by printing the conductive carbon and silver inks in the shape of an American Flag which is bonded to the back of the jackets.

Ralph Lauren has also given fans a chance to crank up the social media for the next few days.  Ralph Lauren is encouraging everyone to use the hashtag #HeatTheWayForTeamUSA on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. For every post and like $1 will be donated to the United States Olympic Committee. Get out there and Share.
“Butler Technologies has participated in several unique projects but few having the visibility of an Olympic Jacket.”  Mike Wagner also added. “It’s been such an exciting experience to partner with such an iconic American company such as Ralph Lauren.  To develop a printed heater for the Olympic jacket was such an honor. The employees of Butler Technologies take great pride in knowing that they have contributed to our country in such an extraordinary manner.”
