Heavy Equipment & Utility Vehicles
We print and build decals, safety labels, gauge faces and control panel overlays for construction, agriculture, forestry, aerial lift and utility fleet machines. Every part is made to live outdoors, survive pressure washing and stay legible for the life of the machine.

Challenges We Solve
Decals That Fail Within Two Seasons
Machine graphics that look good leaving the yard often wash out within a year. Polyester with UV-curable inks and a UV-cured hard coat is tested to SAE J2020 accelerated weathering.
Replacing Decal Sets No Longer in Production
Fleets being refurbished often have only worn, unreadable parts left as reference. Reverse engineering is standard : Send a physical sample and we work from the component when documentation no longer exists
Adhesion to Painted and Textured Surfaces
Decals that stick fine on a sample panel can lift at the corners on a textured or freshly painted machine. Adhesive is selected from the 3M pressure-sensitive range for the surface it will actually meet.
Gauge Faces Operators Can't Read Quickly
A cluster that's technically accurate but washes out in full sun or glares at night forces the operator to stop and study it. Color-coded zones, deadfronting, and anti-glare texture keep it readable at a glance.
Color Drift Between Production Runs
A decal set, cluster face, and panel overlay that don't match batch to batch read as a visible defect. BTI holds a Delta E of 2 or less, verified with a spectrophotometer and computer-based ink formulation.
Long-Lasting Safety and Compliance Labels
Warning placards need to stay legible and attached for the machine's full life, with documentation behind them. BTI produces UL- and CSA-approved constructions, including tamper-evident and IUID options.

Agriculture & Precision Farming
Brand graphics and gauge faces for tractors, combines, sprayers, and planters exposed to fertilizer and constant washdown.
Aerial Lifts & Material Handling
Platform and ground control overlays, load capacity plates, and warning placards for scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts.
Forestry & Mining
Heavy-duty machine graphics and cluster faces for feller bunchers, harvesters, and haul trucks, where vibration and abrasion never let up.
Utility & Municipal Fleet
Body panel decals and equipment identification for bucket trucks, digger derricks, and line trucks.
Snow & Ice Control Utility Trucks
Spreader and plow control overlays and body identification for snow plows and street sweepers.

Why Heavy Equipment Makers Choose BTI
SAE J2020 UV Tested, Not Just “UV Resistant”
Every decal printer says UV resistant; few name a test. BTI tests to SAE J2020 accelerated weathering, which exposes samples to ultraviolet radiation, moisture, and heat together.
Delta E ≤ 2 Color Control
Color is held to a Delta E of 2 or less, verified with a spectrophotometer and computer-based ink formulation — the difference between a finished machine and a visible defect.
Reverse Engineering for Discontinued Sets
Machines outlive their suppliers. BTI recreates decal sets and gauge faces from a physical sample and puts them back into documented, repeatable production.
Printing, Forming, Cutting, and Assembly in One Building
Screen and digital printing, forming, laser and die cutting, lamination, and electrical testing all happen in Butler, Pennsylvania.
What Our Clients Say
Instrument Clusters
Reverse Engineered Gauge Faces for Long-Term Production
A marine gauge dial program needed to be recreated after the original supplier could no longer produce it. BTI rebuilt it with documented process control and repeatable color matching, so the last unit performs the same as the first.
Equipment Identification
Printed Alternatives to Machined Metal Nameplates
Metal nameplates add tooling costs, extend lead times, and increase weight. BTI redesigned them as printed, embossed labels using metallic inks, keeping the original appearance and durability while eliminating the machining step.
Equipment Manufacturer
Backlit Control Panel That Saved 20+ Hours of Engineering
A manufacturer wanted a control panel with backlighting that stayed even across the whole face. BTI took it from design through production, delivering a production-ready membrane switch that saved the customer over 20 hours of engineering time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does BTI make custom decals for heavy equipment?
Yes, in polyester, polycarbonate, vinyl, or acrylic, with adhesive matched to the surface and everything tested to SAE J2020 UV standards.
Can BTI recreate a decal set our original supplier no longer makes?
Often, yes. Send a sample, even a worn one, and we work from the physical part to put it back into documented production.
Does BTI make custom gauge faces for heavy equipment?
Yes, including speedometer, fuel, and hour meter faces, with LED backlighting, deadfronting, and color-coded operating zones.
What's the difference between a decal, a label, and a graphic overlay?
A decal is a field-replaceable branding graphic, a label carries required compliance information, and an overlay is a specified interface component with die-cut windows. BTI makes all three.
Are BTI's heavy equipment labels UL and CSA approved?
Yes. Certificates of conformance and material declarations are available on request.
