Challenges We Solve
Disinfection Resistance
Devices wiped down with IPA, bleach, and quaternary ammonium disinfectants need overlays that won't craze, fade, or lift at the edges. Material, printing method, and adhesive are matched to your specific disinfectant and wipe frequency.
Glove-Compatible Touch
Clinicians in single or double gloves need a panel that responds the first time, with no false activations mid-procedure. PCAP sensitivity is tuned to the actual glove you specify, not a generic setting.
Fluid Ingress in Clinical Environments
ICU and OR devices get spilled on, sprayed, and wiped down constantly. Assemblies are sealed to IP65 and IP67 per IEC 60529, using medical-grade silicone, vellumoid, and closed-cell foam gaskets.
Documentation for the Technical File
Regulatory submissions need material data sheets and certificates of conformance from every component supplier. ISO 9001:2015 with Design means that documentation is prepared alongside the parts, not requested after the fact.
Wire-Free Patient Monitoring
Wearable monitors need a sensor that moves with the patient and stays in contact through a full monitoring period. Screen-printed electrodes on flexible substrates are part of the material itself, not a component attached to it.
Readability in a Darkened Room
Overnight devices need to be legible without waking the patient, with no bright spots or dead zones. LED and EL backlighting is designed for even illumination across the full panel face.

Why Medical Device
Manufacturers Choose BTI
ISO 9001:2015
The medical device quality standard, covering documented design controls, risk management, traceability, and change control through the full product lifecycle. Engineering support during development sits inside the certified quality system rather than beside it.
Single-Source Manufacturer
Six medical product types from one certified USA facility. One audit, one quality agreement, one point of contact for the whole assembly.
Design-to-Production Partner
Our engineers collaborate from concept through production ramp, as proven on PaceAid's emergency CPR guidance device.
What Our Clients Say
PaceAid
Medical-Grade Flexible Circuit for Emergency CPR Guidance
PaceAid needed a flexible printed circuit that adheres to a patient’s chest during cardiac arrest, meets FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and scales to commercial volumes. BTI took it from concept to production with full ISO 9001:2015 with Design traceability for the technical file.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your medical device components made in the USA?
Yes. Every part is designed and manufactured at our facility in Butler, Pennsylvania, with design, prototyping, and production all in the same building.
Can you assemble the complete front panel, or only supply individual parts?
We assemble. Overlay, switch, gasket, and display window are laminated into a finished sub-assembly ready to drop into your enclosure.
Can BTI make glove-compatible touch panels for OR and ICU environments?
Yes. PCAP panels are calibrated for nitrile and latex glove operation, and IP-sealed constructions are standard for wet clinical environments.
Do you make silicone rubber keypads as well as membrane switches?
Yes. Silicone keypads suit a raised, sculpted key with soft actuation; membrane switches suit flat, sealed surfaces that get wiped down constantly.
What IP ratings can BTI achieve for medical membrane switches?
IP65 and IP67, using medical-grade silicone, vellumoid, and closed-cell foam gaskets, with gasket design included in the standard quoting process.
What do you need from us to quote a medical device component?
A mechanical drawing or sample part, the artwork, your annual volume, and the disinfectants and wipe frequency the device will meet.
