Challenges We Solve
Parts That Have to Look Like the Brand
On a consumer product, the interface is the product. BTI holds a Delta E of 2 or less, verified with a spectrophotometer, with metallic, gloss, and velvet matte finishes available across the set.
Household Cleaners and Skin Contact
Devices get wiped with sprays, alcohol, and cleaning wipes, and worn against skin. Material, ink, hard coat, and adhesive are matched to the actual chemistry and contact the product will meet.
Touch That Has to Feel Right First Time
A capacitive button that misses or double-fires reads as a cheap product. Sensitivity is tuned to the actual stack-up, and tactile domes are available where a user needs positive confirmation.
Sensors That Stretch and Wash With Clothing
A rigid sensor stitched into apparel stops reading and does not survive a wash cycle. Screen-printed electrodes on stretchable substrates are part of the material rather than a component on it.
Cost at Consumer Volume
Consumer programs live or die on landed cost per unit. Printing replaces tooling, machining, and assembly steps, and value-added assembly removes labor from your own line.
Getting to Launch Without a Revision Cycle
Consumer launch dates do not move. BTI's engineers work from concept through production ramp in one building, so design, prototyping, and first article do not cross three suppliers.

Why Consumer Brands Choose BTI
A Printed Electronics Specialist, Not a Label Shop
Biometric electrodes, force sensors, printed heaters, RFID, and antennas alongside labels and overlays. Most consumer label suppliers make none of them.
Delta E ≤ 2 Color Control
Color is held to a Delta E of 2 or less, verified with a spectrophotometer and computer-based ink formulation, so the label, overlay, and badge read as one brand.
Design-to-Production Partner
Engineers work from concept through production ramp in one building, so design, prototyping, and first article approval do not cross three suppliers.
Reverse Engineering for Discontinued Programs
BTI recreates dial faces, gauge sets, switch panels, and nameplates from a physical sample — back into documented, repeatable production, not one-off reproduction.
What Our Clients Say
Branding & Identification
Printed Alternatives to Machined Metal Nameplates
Metal nameplates carry tooling cost, lead time, and weight. BTI redesigned them as printed, embossed labels using metallic inks, keeping the original appearance and durability while eliminating the machining step.
Design Firm
Printed Biometric Sensors Built to the Client's Enclosure
A design firm needed printed sensors their client’s device could be built around. BTI worked to their industrial design constraints instead of asking them to work to ours. The sensor fit the enclosure as drawn.
Production Efficiency
Value-Added Assembly That Removed a Step From the Line
Rather than shipping loose parts for the customer to assemble, BTI laminated the adhesives, spacers, and overlaminate films, surface-mounted the LEDs, fitted the connectors, and delivered a finished sub-assembly ready to drop into the enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does BTI make custom consumer product labels?
Yes. Brand labels, rating plates, instruction and warning markings, and printed nameplates, built as UL 969 label systems with metallic and specialty ink options.
What are printed electronics?
Circuits, sensors, heaters, and antennas created by screen printing conductive inks onto flexible substrates rather than assembling discrete components onto a board.
Can BTI make capacitive touch buttons for a consumer device?
Yes. Projected capacitive surfaces and discrete touch buttons, with sensitivity tuned to your actual stack-up rather than a generic setting, and tactile domes where needed.
Does BTI make biometric sensors for consumer health devices?
Yes. Screen-printed ECG, EEG, sEMG, and respiratory sensors on flexible and stretchable substrates, for at-home monitoring and consumer wellness products.
Can printed sensors and heaters survive a wash cycle?
Yes, depending on construction. Elements are printed onto TPU or PET and encapsulated, so they flex and stretch with the garment. Tell us the wash cycle, and we will specify it.
What is the difference between electronic textiles and wearable technology?
Wearable technology is a device worn on the body. Electronic textiles put the function into the fabric itself, so the sensor or heater is part of the material rather than attached to it.
Does BTI make RFID tags for smart packaging?
Yes. RFID tags support authentication, track and trace, and connected product experiences, and can be combined with the printed label rather than applied as a second part.
Is BTI a certified diverse supplier?
Yes. BTI is WBENC certified women-owned, verified annually, which satisfies supplier diversity requirements alongside technical qualification.
